    how to send a 11.5gb file to somone?

    basically, as the title says, i need to send (already compressed using 7z) 11.5gb of video footage to someone for editing...

    how can i do this please?

    Tape or use a file splitter and send it on 3 DVDs.

    rar it and split into 100MiB parts and upload to rapidshare. Wow thats alot. plus he'll need rapidshare. or another way you could send it is by pando. it may be slow but once its uploaded through pando send him the pando file and let him download it from their servers before the 2 weeks is up and its deleted.
    or just torrent it. or just run a http webserver and tell him to download it using a download manager from you. slowly he will get it. or just burn it to dvd and mail it whichever way is quicker.

    Given that the fastest ADSL upload speed is about 512K (some cable is higher, but few if any are faster than 1Mb) sending this size of file electronically is impractical over ADSL. (Quick and dirty calc indicates 26 hours at 1Mb upload speed)

    Put the files in them and give it to your friends.

    Its better not to rar it with compression - because it would take ages to extract... Its better to just rar it and put compression level as "store"... or better still just split the file without raring
