Epson Stylus R285 not printing photos

Hey guys, I purchased a new printer the other day (Epson Stylus R285). First thing I tried to do was print out a photo. Sadly, this didn't work. The printer begins on the picture, prints the first fifth of the page and then it rolls out the paper like the whole page has been printed. As this occurs, the Status Monitor states that there has been an "error - printing".

I have installed all the relevant software and Vista compatible drivers.

Could someone please suggest something that might remedy this annoyance?

Could be a problem with teh spooler directory. Only guessing, but the reason I mention it is that I have found Epson software to be a bit flaky on occasions - I had a similar problem with a different printer caused by the spooler directory filling up because the software didn't clear down jobs that didn't complete for some reason.

Is there any other indication in the print manager?

There is no other indication in the print manager.

I have looked on the Epson support pages, currently downloading some of the latest drivers...

Doubt these will make a difference though, unfortunately.
