Thermal Paste on Stock Q6600

Hi guys, just a quick question, something im not sure about...i got some parts dropped off today, the stock cooler that came with the CPU has the paste on the bottom already - but would i need to apply more to the CPU? or will the paste on the stock intel cooler be enough. as im confused because in the mother board manual it's saying apply a thin layer to the CPU.

yes, most retail cpu with coolers come with the paste on the heatsink to save cost or they would have to provided you with more then you need.

Even some retail cpu coolers have the thermal paste on them

Nop the stuff that comes applied to the bottom of the intel heatsink is enough no more is needed.

You only need to apply thermal paste your self if the cooler has none on it and is bare metal.

Just put a small rice grain size blob on the center of the cpu and whack the cooler on top and it will be fine,to be honest it would be fine without the extra but its upto you fella.
