    E6850 overclockin limits?

    Hi,
I'v recently been trying to overclock my computer and i managed to get up to 3150Mhz. Thats with 350FSB and 9x multiplier (Default is 340FSB and 9x multiplier).

I have the intel e6850 dual core processor and an abit ip35-pro board.

But as soon at i go above 350FSB and save bios settings, when the system restarts, nothing is shown on screen and i hear the CPU fan running at full speed.
I then shut my PC down by holding the power button for 5seconds and when i switch it back on, the previous settings(350FSB) are restored!

I have tried increasing the voltage by 0.02v but the same problem occurs.
Im afraid to increase more than this as iv never overclocked before.

At 3150Mhz with orthos running for 10 minutes, temps were 39°C (CPU) and 51°C for each core. (Using Everest ultimate edition as TAT and core temp dont work for some reason)

Any suggestions or is this the limit of my CPU?

Wem... I'm not an overclocking guru by any means, but I'm comfortably getting 3.51Ghz out of mine with my Asus P5B Deluxe (same CPU) through using Clunk's C2D overclocking guide - have you checked that out?

I've seen people talking about FSB "holes" on motherboards before, perhap try a larger jump than you are already?
