System Monitoring/Optimization

Hi guys, I was just wondering if someone knew of, or could suggest a program(s) that lets you monitor the CPU fan etc? and temps...and lets you adjust all this? and over clocking for the CPU? for vista.

im running a gigabyte mother board - it does come with EasyTune 5, but its just being silly on vista startup , and keeps freezing

I would suggest only overclocking in the BIOS> Popular choice for fan control which comes with temp monitoring facilities, is SPEEDFAN. Just google for it and its a free download.

highly recommended

and easytune would be your main (only?) option for overclocking within windows, though i wouldn't recommended it either as i've seen a number of people mentioning problems with it in the past.

yea true @ pepsi_max - im going to stay away from it to be honest, i'll try a lil bit of over clocking via the bios once i get a better idea. (quite new to it).

Core Temp is a good program for monitering the cpu's tempreture

and CPU-Z moniters frequency, amongst other things

GPU-Z moniter's your graphics card (presuming it is suported)

those 3 are all i've ever found i needed

Speedfan = Cack...especially for voltages.

I agree with Everest too using this over a year now, needs the least (none) amount of tweaking, the only thing I change is which information is displayed in the systray

I tried all those apps, and i gotta say - they were all good, but EVEREST - is the best, in terms of it covers everything. i will be using this now and in the future. thankyou!
