Quick favour from any XP pro owners

Could any owners of an up to date XP Professional (32bit) system do me a quick favour and possibly post their dxdiag information (and tell me if they have a retail/OEM/other install)? I'm trying to help someone (not work related) with their system and I'm not up with the versions of Pro that it reports (_rc1, _gdr etc.)

Mine reports:

I'm using WinXP SP2 OEM

Could you try saving the text file and looking for the full version info? For eg:

Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254)

The problem person has

Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) (2600.xpsp_sp2_rc1.040311-2315)

which looks odd to me.

Thats an install of the non final service pack 2 that was on MSDN / torrent sites before it went final (hence the RC bit = release candidate)

edit - an up to date install, regardless of key type (VLK, Retail, OEM ect) should show 070227-XXXX AFAIK

Looks to me as though he's got a system with the Release Candidate of SP2 installed on it.

Try that tool as well, it's useful in figuring out what license key and the like has been installed on your system
