Re: 1080i and 720p problem
do you get the same problem with a vga cable (or doesnt the tv accept vga?)
Re: 1080i and 720p problem
Re: 1080i and 720p problem
it doesnt accept 1080p and no i dont get the same problem with vga but vga is limited in quality
Re: 1080i and 720p problem
how do you mean 'limited in quality'...
if 1080i shows tearing, and 720p has an orange tint, yet over vga its fine, I would use vga!
Re: 1080i and 720p problem
1080i is of course, NOT the native resolution of the TV, and by the sounds of it neither is 720p.
I have a samsung 32M87BDX (i think) in my bedroom, i can drive this very happily from my laptop via its HDMI at 720p... i think. Actually i just plugged it in and set vista to clone display (ie force laptop screen down to res). Great work from nvidia + ms there, it was just damn easy. Which OS + Driver revisino you running?
Re: 1080i and 720p problem
the native res stated in the manual is 1360*768 the weird thing is if i use the dvi to hdmi cable i can achieve this res only at 30 hz, but if i use vga it uses this res at 60 hz but vga then limits me to a maximum of 1360*768 in all my apps an games whereas hdmi allows me to play in 1650*1080 and higher, which looks crisper for still images but is interlaced even at 1280*720p on hdmi it looks better than 1360*768 on vga but on the desktop it looks sharp and orange tinted, vga is ok i suppose if i never experienced hdmi but i payed for the hdmi lead and was hoping to use it not revert back to vga standards
Re: 1080i and 720p problem
runs 1360 * 768 over my HDMI output on my laptop 8600M GS, running vista. No problem, this is on my 32M87BDX samsung.
what model is your tv, do you have the latest firmware (plugged in on freeview)
Re: 1080i and 720p problem
hmm does it run 1360*768 at 60hz? <in nvpanel> and when u chose 1360*768 and u press the info button does it say its in I mode becuase it does for me and it only runs 30hz
my model is le32r7 and i have not seen any new firmware releseases for it wouldnt that void the warranty anyways?
also the dvi cable i use on my card it doesnt have the 2 extra pins above and below the - part of it if u know what i mean could that be the prob?
