    IB9 no post no beeps

Hi all, hope I am in the right place and sure I will know shortly and also know that I will find the help I need...............have not seen this post so

My buddy just bought me a new E4300 cpu and I got an Ib9 board that was used but from a respectable person on ebay who sent me an RMA# but before I send the board back I am hoping someone may know how to get me up and running...........may have missed something

Have the new E4300 box version
    Ib9 board
    2x1gig corsair cmxs 675 ram
    8600gt video card
ultra v series 500 watt power supply

All but the board is brand new or no older than 2 months[vid card] installed on top of box on my table, fans spin, leds on board light but it will not post or beep................

put all in the board that came with the cpu combo, cheap Msi P4m900m2 chipset and all worked.

I have tried to clear the bios, removed the battery ,set the jumper and unplugged the supply from board overnight but still no post or beeps..............would like to give another try before sending back the board or the cpu.........all runs on the msi board though not stable due to the high ram voltage, 1.9 is too much for the cheap board but no settings to change...................would love to get this up and running if possibile this weekend.....have another machine with different ram but due to a crippled back makes it hard to take apart unless really necessary...........but will do if I need to.....

Seems like a bad board but

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.................thank you.
Been a long week with this

Hi, thanks for the quick reply, believe you are right..........

it's just that right now on the poor side right now, yep even for the $10 postage, that and the fact I guess I was hoping to get up and running........also know the people in this forum are good, reason for reading and now joining..........................on the good side worker's comp want to make a lump sum settlement....................

nice 22 inch lcd, upgrade to at least an E6600 for this machine, currently an E6300.......will see what's going on with all this new stuff in a couple of months but defintely a new setup is on it's way.............

By the way the E4300 is a nice cpu if you can find one..........also found out some info dealing with the issue of people asking about the new PCI_E ver 2 cards.......yes, they will work on boards with ver 1 pci-e boards..........got that info from EVGA

...thanks again and hope you have a great Christmas!

Re: IB9 no post no beeps

Hi, yes, tried with i stick of ram, tried various slots and everything I could think of and what I googled.............only 2 things I did not try is different memory, would need to take this machine apart to do so and have not tried a pci vid card but don't think that would make much difference and a diff cpu as I don't have another, was thinking it may be the very early bios before it supported the c2d.........................did not see the abitcare forum, can I still post it there?
    Thank you.

Thanks to all who have replied with help, very much appreciated.
