    x1950xtx and watercooling..

    Hey guys

Installed osx on my pc last night and everything works great (with a bit of fiddling, obviously..) but the ati drivers don't control the fan speed at all, it just sets it at 100% and lets it rip - my ears, that is.

So I finally got around to install a watercooling block on my gfx card. I had bought the block months ago but never bothered with it.. It's a swiftech MCW60-B which is supposed to be pretty good, but only cools the GPU. I had also bought some ram sinks but looking at the card's ram sink, it seemed a better idea to leave that one on. Seems to have more cooling area.

My problem is, I have no idea if the memory is being cooled enough. What are generally acceptable memory temps? With just normal usage (no 3D apps) on osx, the ram sink is pretty warm but doesn't burn any fingers. How worried should I really be, considering there's no overclocking going anywhere?

Cheers, any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Tiago

I'm happy to report that the card is still going strong, with great performance and now 0 noise
