^^ Thread going on there should help. If you have months left on a subscription I wouldn't bother moving, but if you are in the market for a new anti virus package then get something different.
Nod all the way! been using nod now for 3 years or so, its an absolute dream of an AV
NOD here too, Norton is just full of bloat now a days imho, havent used it since 2001...
yeah thats the best thing about nod, i've seen more RAM usage opening notepad :D
love the amount of updates too, updates about 3-4 times a day at least
i have a few friends who use norton or symantec and after switching to nod the system speed increase was just silly
I had norton 2004 and was it ridiculously poor. Everytime I had an inbound virus, it uninstalled itself!!
I hate to say it (and I really mean this, I loathed Norton stuff of late) but after doing some beta testing for them Symantec gave me a 3 PC license for Norton 2008 and it massively improved.
I can answer the "shall I unisntall norton" question with one word.
Ready?
Here it comes:

Nod32 for 3 years here, with ZA. No worries. And love the way ZA allows you to choose what gets internet access.
Edit: I used to lurve Norton Utilities (NEVER the internet security packages, never ever), and what I particularly liked was the feature in their Defrag agent when you could specify if you wanted certain files put at the "end" of the drive, or after the system files, or something. no other product I've used has had that, even O&O Defrag, and I would dearly love it again to do things like put Bioshock at the front of my games drive, or stuff.
I personally use Avast! it's free and has never let me down yet *touches wood* I love its detailed scans.
At times its best to be in the minority.:)
Hmmmm, Norton.
Stopped my games from playing, and when the firewall was on anything other than the lowest setting it would prevent itself from accessing the net to update......:surprised:
And then there's the Ram usage!
1 very bad experience means that no matter how much it improves over the next few years i could never go back.
I consider Norton Security Suite/AV to be malware. Every PC I've ever seen running with it has performed much better by removing it. Not sure about the latest versions but I would never risk running it.
There are free versions that do a better job than norton. My personal fave is NOD32 but I've installed AVG free on alot of others and it works fine.
