    Compuer Not Loading on Screen

On my own monitor, the screen flashes up a white screen before turning blank, yet the computer sounds just as though it is working away as normal. Putting it into my brother's monitor the screen just remains blank. Have tried replacing the graphics card but makes no difference. Have also taken out and re-inserted the CPU cooler but yet again didn't work. Presumably since a white screen appears on my monitor the graphics card is working? And looking inside my computer i can see the green light on the mobo, with all fans working (inc. graphics cards and cpu coolers) so i'm out of ideas. Help would be very much appreciated

    PC Specs;
    2 x 1gb geil ultra x
    asus p4p800se
    leadtek 6800le
    Maxtor 120GB
    Pentium 4 3.2Ghz with a Zalmann 9500 on it

Any bios beeps? does that board use 1 of asus' many random bios systems (voice post, lcd screens etc)

have you oc'd at all (possible cmos reset req).

try taking the ram out or leaving 1 stick in and booting it to see what happens.

I had an old athlon not boot up but all fans span for some reason resetting cmos then taking 1 stick of ram out worked i then put the other 1 back in and it worked.

Re: Compuer Not Loading on Screen

No beeps, just sounds as it normally would as everything is still working away in the background.
Just put it back into my monitor there, noticed that after the first restart (white screen) it keeps coming up 'no input signal' after each consequent restart. Don't know about the bios systems? Overclocked a few months back but just reset everything to standard so can't see that being a problem.
Tried leaving just 1 ram stick in, didn't work though. I took the Bios chip out earlier a few times but yet again no luck.

Did you check is HDD working like the OS is booting up?
If no then the whole system is not starting and that mean that MB found some problem and will not run.
You can also try to change additional power cable for your graphic card.
If this will not help then the best if you'll have spare parts just to change them and check which part might not work proper (most probably BIOS - as you wrote you removed chip few times or graphic).

Re: Compuer Not Loading on Screen

Going to have to revive this, though i now know the hard drive is working! Put it back into my old PC, no luck booting! So just a few questions...
i take it the green light on the mobo wouldn't turn on if the power supply was faulty?
Any indications to look out for whether the processor would be broke?

Re: Compuer Not Loading on Screen

A faulty or failing PSU might let the light on your mobo be green/lit up but not be able to supply a running system stably. Does your graphics card have an extra power connector? As for whether the CPU has failed, this should be indicated by the BIOS before the PC boots either by a series of beeps or something on screen.
