    Kaspersky Problem

I have just installed kaspersky 7 on a new machine and every few minutes windows tells me that it is turned off, then a message appears saying that Application Launch Failed and then kaspersky restarts. I have updated to the latest version but still the same problem. does anyone know how to fix this?

There's a lot of people around here (myself included) who rate Kaspersky pretty highly - any particular reason for your comment Giraffe?

Crazyfool - can you supply some more specifics: OS, anything else in that error, anything logged in your application log?

Kaspersky has one of the best virus protection etc available a lot of other comapnies use their engine and brand it as their own. It is less system hogging than most so what do you suggest?

I use Kaspersky V7 and have had not issues in use or performance.

    Re: Kaspersky Problem

IIRC there was an issue recently with an update that caused this to happen.

Ahh yeah - here's the link to the info

Update glitch derails Kaspersky | Channel Register

I'd check with kaspersky support to get the fix

It (and Norton) seem to 'use' a lot of resources and almost dictate what one may do.
A lot of forums answer the same, especially with Norton.

If I had to have one of the two I'd choose Kapersky.

I've moved to Kaspersky AV 7 from Fsecure, Avast! and Avira, and I find that once configured correctly it's pretty lightweight in comparison.
