dell gx280 p4 modem

Hi I am a newbe if someone could give me some help not very good on computers I have just got a recon. dell gx280 p4 it has been set up for broadband and I am on dialup I put in my old data fax modem a creatix V.9xDSP but computer cannot reconise it and I have no driver I am using windows XP SP1 I am a very long way from any computer shop is there thing I can do thank you in advance

You can dload a driver for the modem you list from http://www.yournewdriver.com/Creatix...Modem_4732.htm, just click the download button. It's for windows 98, but xp should still recognize it.

That's where to get your driver. I'm guessing you can get on the internet by the fact that you posted here, so download that to a thumb drive or something, then install it on your GX280.

EDIT - of course I only part read your post, so I linked you to the driver for the modem that the GX280 ships with

hi again sorry to mislead you guys I am posting this on my old computer as the modem is not reconised by my latist one so I am unable to go on line with it
