    New computer parts help..

Hey, I'm trying to build a new computer and I've listed some parts I want but I need some opinions and some help choosing a motherboard as well as some opinions on the current parts.

    My budget is £580

    This is what I currently wanna buy;

    Antec Nine Hundred
    Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
    Saitek Eclipse II Keyboard
Corsair HX Series 520W Modular PSU
    Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 PC2-6400C5 TwinX (2x2GB)
Samsung SpinPoint HD501LJ 500GB SATAII Hard Drive

This comes up to about £460 - I was hoping someone could help me choose a good motherboard that is preferbably under a £100, but if it's good and will last for quiet some time I wouldn't mind paying a bit more.

Also, I've never overclocked but I've read that the Q6600 is good for it so I might consider overclocking in the future.

Another thing that might help is that I'm planning to use my current graphics card which is a ATI Radeon X700 as well as my current 300GB Hard Drive.

    Thank You

This is a great motherboard for the money
    Abit IP-35

It was £58 a few days ago so watch scans today only closely today only

you can also request it for today only by emailing themanwhocan@scan.co.uk

everything else looks good. I would have a western digital 500GB AAKS but the spinpoints are good to.

    ABIT IP-35.. brilliant board!
get the SLACR stepping Q6600 aswell.. or the G0 as you might know it, runs cooler, uses less energy, better OCs..

Don't think you can get anything but G0's now.

    Re: New computer parts help..

Will the Abit IP-35 support Nvidia 8800 series for when I upgrade in the future?

    Thanks for the help ^^

    Re: New computer parts help..

SCAN were also doing the IP35 Pro for ~£93 the other day on Today Only.
It adds some nice extras to the IP35 but probably nothing necessary for you.

It was £88 but get the Dark Raider. Staffs Mike seems to be the Abit spokesperson and would like to think hes convered everyone to the way of the abit. The drak raider is excellent value so just what you want.
