    Netgear Wireless Just Died????

I just updated my Netgear DG834GT to the Newest Firmware and it went smoothly, all my ethernet connections connect faster than before!!!

BUT my wireless doesn't seem to be working, when my PS3 tries to connect it fails at the first step (Obtaining IP Address) and my Dell Vostro also fails to connect???

Is it possible to revert back while keeping all of my settings?

I rung up Technical Support, and he said change the SSID, which I did and also the WEP key and also the Channel, to number 9, instead of 11, I did this and it still doesn't work. How do I keep my settings but revert to previous firmware???

Also my Dell Laptop says Connected with Limited Connectivity.

    MAJOR UPDATE:

I have disabled all security e.g. WEP and it know works!!!

What does this mean?? Both my Playstation and my Laptop now connect??

Though I would like to have WEP again in the future....

Reinstall the WEP keys on all machines - the old one might have become corrupted or lost.

    Re: Netgear Wireless Just Died????

WEP is really poor. Please use WPA if that is at all possible.

I had the same issue of not being able to connect to my Netgear router on a Dell laptop unless security was turned off. Clearly this was not acceptable.

I downloaded an updated wireless driver for my Dell and it all worked straight after that.

You will need to follow the above advice first though. New keys are a starting point.
