PSU query?

Looking towards getting a new MOBO shortly and have noticed that some require a 8pin supply to the ATX.

My PSU = Tagan 800W lists a 1x 8pin CPU +12v can this be used for the ATX plug?

For a moment there I had the horrible thought that I might have to get a new PSU as well.

Though it doesn't bear well for a MOBO supporting 3 PCIe does it.
