    Replacement Asus AM2 socket heatsink bracket

    Hi,

    Very quick question, a friend of mine has an asus m2n pv-vm motherboard, and the heatsink bracket has decided to break on him so he needs a replacement. I've found this on ebay Retension Module for AMD Asus Gigabyte AM2 Motherboard on eBay, also For AMD, Motherboards, Desktop PC Components, Computing (end time 28-Feb-08 20:18:39 GMT) but i just wanted to check if anyone knows if all the asus am2 brackets are identical across the range, as i don't want to order this for him and find out that they differ from board to board to make room for components etc.. and this one is just a third party version that doesn't fit correctly. i've asked elsewhere but thought i may aswell ask here too.

    i am 100% sure that all am2 brackets are the same

    My bracket on my M2N-E broke and I replaced it with this

    KustomPCs.co.uk - Thermalright AM2 Rev B Retention Module

    It has 3 lugs so holds my freezer 64 pro much better than the standard single lug bracket.
