    AIM problems!:(

    hi guys,

    i have been trying to use aim with my friend who is a mac user and basically we can type to each other fine but when ever we try to have a video chat or chat in general it always says connection timed out!!! if anyone could hepl with this problem it would be much appreciated!!

    Check firewall settings on both of the computers.

    i have already checked them and they are fine, thats whats puzzling me!?!? anymore i deas?

    You both need to video chat with other buddies to pinpoint which system is causing the error then take it from there.

    Does sound like a classic firewall problem though.

    Try putting each other in trusted zones on software and hardware (routers) firewalls.

    A quick dropping of the firewall on each system would give a quick answer as to whether it is a firewall issue. Quick, I mean quick, I would not normally advocate the dropping of a firewall.
