vista 64 GRR
so what do i do?
i tried formatting partition xp was on and no go. tried making a new one in vista 64 installer but no go:angst:
bloody 64bit. everything worked fine till then grrr.
now i keep getting "windows is unable to find a system volume that meets its criteria for installation"
is it because its 39.5gb and it requires 40gb?
i'm going to try and resize my partition to say 45gb now to check...
i'm lost here:S

wierdddd... i had a fat32 linux partition of 30gb's setup and i deleted that a did "new" and now its installing:S yet ntfs wouldn't work even when creating a new partition.
lol beats me but least its working...

Keef - just a couple of tips. Don't take them the wrong way, but it might help people help you in future.
Firstly Vista requires a 40Gb drive with 15Gb of free space if you're installing Home Premium, Business or Ultimate. If you don't meet this requirement the installer will fail.
Secondly remember that when posting on a forum people can't read minds: I'm guessing that you're actually trying to install Vista x64 in a partition on your drive, but you don't mention this until your second post.
