Thumbs down New Philips TV (32PFL9632D/10) screen full of green+pink noise

I've only had this TV just under 2 months now and the other day all of a sudden lots of the screen turned to bright green noise and then I noticed pink in the white areas. It seems anywhere that should be pitch black (#000000) is bright green and anything that should be perfect white is bright pink.

I've attached a picture to show what I mean. What the hell would cause this? I've tried disconnecting the power, disconnecting anything else that is connected and flashing to a newer firmware, nothing helped. Once or twice when I turned it on (in the morning oddly enough) it was ok, but now it seems stuck like it.

Annoyingly I threw away the box the other day (because it was huge and I have no-where to put it). Is this TV just flat out broke? Any ideas why it would just do that if it is?

    Thanks.

EDIT: Ok, not attached because Hexus doesn't have that option (?!).

Please remove the image from your post, I didn't embed it to prevent the strain on my server (no point loading it every time someone views this thread, only when someone actually clicks it to check it).

Great, ring Philips or the place I brought it from?

The place you bought it from has the legal obligation (in UK) to honour warranty claims - however read the terms of the warranty as some mfrs do offer direct support for warranty claims and you nay get better service in those circumstances.

You might (although 2 months is stretching it) be able to reject the goods as unfit for purpose, and get it exchanged, but it is unlikely after two months. But to repeat - read the small print in the warranty documentation.
