a FEWWWWWW questions god please help lmao...
thought it was my overclock so I turned everything down to stock settings...
hardware is
abit ip35 pro
q6600
ballistix pc8500 that reports at 6500 in cpu-z?wtf?
hd3870 pcs
tagan 500w dualengine
so basically whenever i use bit-torrent it either stops responding then won't close in vista by either end process or "close this program" dialog box...
the REALLY NICE part is i have to restart the computer because everytime i try to open the bit-torrent program of choice back up its apparently still running so i can't open another one:| and it takes AGES to restart/shutdown because its trying to end this bloody process:@ so i either risk breaking hdd's and turn power on/off or sit and wait...
this is really annoying me as i'm trying to download a variety of large linux iso's and it can resume them nicely as i don't like download managers nor trusting a browser on such large files...
so yeah why does cpu-z pickup my ram as pc6500 not 8500 even at stock or overclocked ram dividers?
why is vista being so stupid with only bit-torrent clients... (its any client i've tried utorrent/offical bit-torrent vuze etc etc)
btw it's not the 64 bit either before people go pointing the finger...
i was gonna go 64bit but i'm not sure now if it's going to be stupid like this with a random protocol... doesn't seem worth the money imho if i can't have stability at stock. it's quite laughable...
oh and why won't ubuntu 7.0.4/10 work on this system? i receive some stupid error about finding a hard drive i think? i know i have the scary jmicron but thats detected my sata's and it's usually only an ide device issue isn't it?
oh and why won't my insipiron 6400 core duo 1.6 1gb ram ati x1300mobility run ubuntu distro's either? keeps crashing the x server and won't display graphics so i'm stuck at a command line. really angry at the mo with OS's as you can tell lol.
put me out of my misery please
