    PqRP problems

    Hi All

I restarted an old thread on this subject but thought it might be just as well to start a new one myself, done the unforgivable, used PM8 to resize my HD, it crashed in the middle leaving me with 160GB of PqRP, what I was asking was advice on what to do next, I have bought a Seagate freedom USB hard drive in advance. I Understand that there are programs out there that will help in the recovery if the data is still there, but I am not the most accomplished when it comes to digging in (esp DOS and stuff) so I am willing to purchase a programme that will do as much in an idiots way for me as poss. I just dont want to end up with less than useless stuff.

Someone has already suggested Acronis Disk manager

As I understand it I will need something that can copy ALL my HD (inc the hidden PqRP section) then try to recover this on my orig HD, then I can use something to reliably configure my HD into the partitions I require

after that of course I will do the backups that I should have done in the first place

    thanks in advance

    Re: PqRP problems

I am doing an image of this "lost" partition at the moment

anyone have any recommendations for recovery software? I have looked at Disk Internals which is $99 and Paragon recovery which is around the same price, any others people have tried?
