Double BIOS beep on new system

I have just built a new system, specs below:

    Core2Duo E6750
    Scythe Ninja Heatsink
    Corsair 620w power supply
    XFX 8800GT
    OCZ 4GB KIT DDR2-800MHZ PC2-6400
    Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 Motherboard

    Am also running 2 x 250 SATA HDD and 1 x 500 SATA HDD.

When i turn the PC on i get a Double beep which indicates a CMOS error but i have no idea where to start on fixing this.

I have read on some forums that there might not be enough voltage going to the RAM but i don't really know how to change this in the BIOS.

Also i am using a USB mouse and keyboard but when i am in Gigabyte's Boot menu function i cannot use the keyboard at all - very annoying.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried reseting the CMOS? There is a jumper on the motherboard which when the system is OFF you switch move to reset.

As for the USB, there is an option in the BIOS you can change which allows the USB to be used normally.

As for the voltages am not sure what to change here, i know there are options in there to change but to solve this problem I dont know what they are,

I did think to clear the CMOs but could not seem to get the battery out and i did not want to force it.

Will take a look at the USB settings - i find that Gigbayte's boot from menu is quite useful.

Re: Double BIOS beep on new system

I sorted the keyboard and mouse and it transpires that the beeps are coming from my fan controller LOL.

I installed some new nexus case fans which run about 600 rpm. I reread the instruction booklet and if a fan drops below 600 then the alarm goes off. Since the beeps were happening during start up i assumed it wa sthe bios but it was the fan controller warning me.

    Thanks for the help.
