Folding@Home problem

i'm having a slight problem, whenever i restart my computer the folding@home thing doesn't resume properly and tells me it's

'waiting for core: step (insert number)'

is this normal?
i've only completed 1 WU so far, so i'm a total n00b when it comes to Folding..

also, if anyone knows how to get the SMP client to work on Vista 32bit then i'll be more than grateful!

Have you made sure you are NOT getting the internet settings from IE7?

Yes that's right (though you should allow large units if you want to score points).

I'm not sure what the problem is then - probably some vista permissions/firewall thing or some flakiness with the SMP - I prefer to use the console to launch multiple jobs so hopefully someone more familiar with the SMP can chip in.
