20 pin ATX in a 24 pin mobo
A mate has an Asus A8M2N-LA board in an HP base unit with a dodgy PSU
Board specs are here - HP and Compaq Desktop PCs - Motherboard Specifications, A8M2N-LA (NodusM)
I have a spare PSU (specs here - Translated version of http://www.oclabs.com/plistarticles.php?artpage=3&artcat=0)
The mobo has a 24 pin ATX power connector and a 4 pin ATX power connector.
The PSU has a 20 pin ATX molex, and a 4 pin ATX molex
Do I combine the 20 and 4 pin molex plugs and put them both in the 24 pin ATX power connector on the mobo?
Or
Do I plug the 20 pin molex into the 24 pin connector and the 4 pin into the 4 pin connector?
This is a temporary measure to test whether the board is fully functional, it will not be permanent.

20pin into 24 pin should work 4pin atx to 4pin atx

Hehe I wasn't going to....he might have done though :D
Thanks.
I presume the 20 pin will only fit in one end/side of the 24 pin due to the rounded/square molex connections?

same thing happened to me mate i put the 20 in the 24 and the 4 into CPU slot and it worked fine though i advise you getting a new PSU for full stability which i recently did but you dont need to right now :)
