Are you using Vista now? How's it?
Yes. Same as usual on a lazy Friday afternoon.
yes... boring as usual... nothing special.
Yes. It runs well, everything works, does the job. What more could you want?
For it to not need 4Gig of RAM to run like XP did with 2Gig. I've been using Vista Ultimate x64 since retail release and have become too use to it to go back to XP (I tired recently but love my Gadgets) but it's still a bit too resource hungry for the masses IMO. On the flip side, most of my applications run fine on it and any issues are usually down to the x64 nature than Vista itself, ie. Same issues on XP x64.
I have it on 2 machines, not this one though.
It works ok and has some useful things on it, but as said needs at least 2gb ram. Find it easy for setting up networks etc but am still happy with XP on my main machine.
The new Office pack takes some getting used too.![]()
I use Ultimate 64. It's all ran well so far with 4GB of ram.
No - still on Win 2K, but thinking about upgrading to XP soonish on my one remaining Windows PC. Its probably OK by nowIf I do go the Vista route, it'll be in about 6 years time. Early adoption is vastly over-rated and causes all sorts of angst.

I have Vista Home Premium 64. No real issues aside from wireless card installation. Would only recommend it if you have the spec to run it comfortably. If not then use XP until Windows 7 in 2010, imho.
XP right now, tempted to move to Vista though purely for the looks and gadgets which I am missing.
XP mainly. Currently, I see no benefit that justifies me changing to Vista.
I'm getting along with Vista fine and would consider it as the standard O/S now. However, if it's just the looks or gadgets you're after you can get add-ons for XP to make it more like Vista...
Ultimate x64 and 2gb ram here.....no probs at all, no speed issues, no compatability problems, nothing. Like it![]()
