About LinkBacksok just got myself a nice little mp4 player and want to put some movies on it.
But obviously not at 700mb a pop.
So want to convert them.
Anyone recommend a good program?

The MP4 player should come with its own transcoder that will encode file that is within MP4's decode capability.
Other encoders will probably not work unless you know the exact encoding profile needed by your MP4 player.
