Removing files

I used to have a Tom Tom 520 SatNav and downloaded Tom Tom Home and other relative files from CD. I have now uninstalled everything but cannot remove icon from desk tray and also if I put Tom Tom in 'Search', several files show up which I cannot delete. Can anyone help me to remove these.
They are not causing my PC a problem but are just nuisance objects.

Why can't you delete them? Are you getting an error message, saying (i.e.) they're "in use"?
If that's the case, you need Unlocker.

Download it, install it, then run it. Try to delete the files again, then close the error message.
Unlocker should open, and provide you with the option to 'unlock' the files - after which you'll be able to delete them.

Hey, thanks for the link to the unlocker, it works great - used it to delete windows files, from my old windows config on the second hdd

I am sure that it will work on your tom tom

Unlocker is a brilliant tool, and the creator a friend of mine from a while back.

However some files may be seriously stubborn, and from my experience Unlocker's delete on boot doesn't always work.

http://www.killbox.net/ is a good Delete On Boot app though.

Your Uninstaller is a great uninstalling tool that scans and cleans registry entires and the installation folder (program files), after calling the default uninstaller for that program. Have you tried using this?

Your Uninstaller is quite good for sure... but Advanced Uninstaller Pro is way better still in my opinion

It's much more than just an uninstaller, but in keeping with the context of this thread... it includes a 'Force Uninstall' option
