When you say it disappears, have you tried searching for the file on your computer? On the chance that it's just being moved immediately as it's downloaded?

thats a very good point

do a search for a file name that you download to make sure that it isnt being moved to a different folder...

also make sure that you have desktop icons turned on.....

I tried to save to other destinations ie. desktop. The icon appeared on the desktop then just went AWOL when the download window hit 99%. I assume it just wasnt getting to 100% and the file was failing for some reason.
