Problem with my notebook..

My notebook is from HP
Sometimes when i turn on the computer and log in Youtube there is no sound for the video clips（I did not switch to mute), but the i tunes and media player still works normal, I’ll always have to rextart the computer.
Anyone have any idea what's wrong?

Could it be a Video that has the sound disabled? or are you able to restart then hear sound?

Operating system? Sound card model? Are drivers up to date?

If you're on Vista/7 check the mixer from your sound icon in the system tray. Remember you have individual volume control for all your running programs.

I sometimes have a similar issue with streaming live video from the BBC - Simply muting and unmuting the stream fixes for me.
