PnkBstrK.sys virus?

hi Guys,
well im not sure if this has been posted in the correct section but oh well. Anyway, today when i tried to go on cod 4, i got a message from avast saying that they've found a virus called PnkBstrK.sys (which is part of punkbuster obviously). So i pressed on move to chest. Now when i join a server i get kicked after 2 seconds because im missing a file or driver or something (PnkBstrK.sys im guessing). So i was wondering if PnkBstrK.sys is actually a virus because it never did this before but today it did. Or why would it suddenly see it as a virus now.

p.s. it says the virus is a Win32:Rootkit-gen if is any help.

seems to be a false positive, reinstall COD4 or replace the missing file, and ignore further notices about the file

If you want upload a copy of the sys files to a password protected rar and i'll download and dissasemble it.

Thats if you want to be totally sure =]

I think its just the way its coded, heuristic scanners may think its a virus.

just disable avast when you play
