Hey all
Sorry if its a silly question but I`m just not sure.
In my Bios the "Primary Display Adapter" is set to PCI at the moment. Is this correct or should it be set to PCI-E.?
My set up Asus P5N-t Mobo running 2 x 8800gtx`s in SLI.
Cheers all

should be PCI-E as you already guessed, dont matter if you dont have a PCI video card tho
OK cool.. thx for the reply. Its been on PCI for 4 months now, I`m still trying to learn the ins and outs of pc`ing.
Another silly question. Will I have lost any performance of graphic qaulity using PCI instead pf PCI-E?
I shall go to bios now and switch over.
Many thx GoNz0
if your card is in a PCIE slot it will default to PCIE
if you also had a PCI video card in the machine it would boot using that as the initial display adapter and ignore the PCIE
its just ment for situations where you have more than 1 VGA card thats all
PCI and PCI-E are two different interfaces on the motherboard - both for expansion cards, such as graphics adaptors. The BIOS will detect which one you have, but if you have two graphics adaptors, one OCI and the other PCI-e, that BIOS selection allows you to designate which one is the primary one (the one where all the boot information is presented, for example). As you only have the one, the BIOS setting is really irrelevant, and will have no effect on performance.
