Is there a specific temperature you wanted to find? Essentially there are two options for finding temperatures:
1. Software that shows the readings of sensors built into various pc components, for example hard drives, processor, graphics card.
HW monitor is very good as is Everest.
2. Purchase hardware that comes with temperature probes. The most common and cheapest type will be flexible thermocouples that you can position anywhere you want within your case. This will allow you to find air temperatures within the case. Scan has a good selection of products in this category.
So if you just want the GPU core temperature you can find that in HW monitor. But if you want to know the air temperatures in the case you'd be better off buying a separate piece of hardware. I'd imagine the free software will be more than adequate.
That card doesn't run all that hot and judging from the system specs you list in your profile it should be ok. This review lists some temperatures and none of them are particulary hot. As long as there is sufficient air flow through the case I doubt there would be a problem.
Speedfan gives CPU core temp, motherboard temps and nVidia core temps. Make sure the graphics card is below 100C at sustained full load.

Have you tried PCWizard? It's great for all kinds of PC information, tells almost everything in your pc, and temps!
I'd also recommend checking out speedfan.
I've used speedfan on all my deskops and lappies. I've got one lappy which is prone to overheating (yes, I need to sort out the compound at some point!), so it's good for using on that (as I know when the thing is getting really hot). I tried others, but found speedfan to be the best for my needs and also for detecting sensors.
For Graphic card temps (and also monitoring graphs), you can use any of the following:

Wat about GPU-z. Tells you everything about your GPU;
here is a little pictuer:

Just a suggestion - I'd measure the current CPU temp with one of the progs above, just to get an idea of what it currently runs at and to aim to reproduce it or improve on it. Put in your hot GPU, heavily load it with a game demo or benchmark (eg 3dmark06). Measure the temps again. If they have increased significantly, you need to improve the cooling. My goal (personal) is no more than 80C at full load of GPU and CPU.

Nice one GoNzO. Will give it a go. (Been using the 2.20 version)
