Twin2X4096-6400C4DHX G Setup

I'm a little confused, as far as I know i've bought DDR2 Ram but my M/B and CPU-Z both seem to think it's DDR3.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3L/S3L. It is happy running the memory at 8-8-8-24 1066mhz 1.8v and the system runs very well with this auto motherboard setting. I've now tried using the settings on the information that came with it and have had to lower my mhz to 700 (otherwise I was getting a blue screen). So i'm now at 4-4-4-12 700Mhz 2.0v.

Can anyone advise me on which settings I should keep please? If it runs fine with the first ones and did for 2 days are they all a lot faster than the ones i've set now?

I'm also posting on the corsair support forums but I thought some people here might have had similiar experiences or views aswell?
