Help! DFI LT X48: Bad cpu, memory or PSU?

    Hi There

After issues with the DK X-48 I got a replacement LT-X48. I have spent the entire past weekend getting the board to boot, initially after firing it up it would give me C1/C25 erros which I thought were memory related, that continued for hours, flashed to latest bios, I bought a stick of cheap 667 ram and managed to get a post finally but then everytime it tried to boot past bios it would lock and restart on a loop.

hours later, after playing about and considering binning the whole thing last night i upped the vcore and north bridge voltage to around 1.5 V everything else default settings and I am now able to boot into Windows - well the pc restarted once but I did manage to run 3D Mark through once last night . . But why is it that the stock default settings do not allow the system to boot, auto CPU Vcore at stock default was reading 1.22V, obviously not enough to boot? I even thought I might have a dodgy cpu, everything else was tested except for that as I have no spare. But if it boots then the cpu must be okay i guess?

Tried it again last night and tried memtest and prime95 and got restarts immediately . .

Could it be a psu issue? cpu issue? Surely not another dodgy DFI board, Has anyone else found a similar thing?

    Appreciate any feedback.

    Thanks

    Spider

Have you checked what is the stock memory juice is? This is usually 1.8, but some ram (notably ocz) runs better on higher volages (if you don't know, remove one of your sticks, it is often printed on the ram). Just increase it in small amounts, until you get stable results in prime95

    Hope this helps.
