Here's the datasheet.
Really all you need is a compatible one*. Looks like it's a 5K pot, 24mm diameter, 30mm shaft length.
Have a gander on Farnell and RS.
*Actually, what's it even for?
Re: Help with potentiometer
Thanks Steve
have just looked at Locos site which matches the pot but they dont seem have a stockist in the uk, its for driving a 24 volt dc motor on a small scooter
Re: Help with potentiometer
hello GEB :p
from that datasheet/pdf it says
Adjustment Travel .. 280 deg
Mechanical Travel .. 300 deg
EDIT: heres a quick drawing to illustrate, GEB will be able to explain how it works better than i can.
1st TYPE
http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...potdiagram.jpg
the pots that you buy in the shop/over the counter, the tracks inside, where it reads the K reading from are active all the way around for the full 300deg (the one steve linked to), like so:
2nd TYPE
http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...otdiagram2.jpg
What GEB is after is the 1st type, where the track only extends 30-40deg each way from the midpoint, we only need a small amount of travel to be able to get from 0k up to 5K. as it is for the wigwags on moblity scooters - the lever you control with your hand to make them go forward and backwards.
Re: Help with potentiometer
