    Verifying DMI Pool Data

Why does it take ages to boot into windows? It show "Verifying DMI Pool Data" on the screen for like 10 seconds..

    I have Samsung SATA HD.

That'll be your BIOS - what board are you using?

This is going to sound crazy - but do you have a CD/DVD in the drive? Also, try totally unplugging the drive for trouble shooting, I've seen some drives cause this issue before.

You can also try resetting the BIOS and re-entering the values, just in case anything has gone awry.

Ofcourse I have DVDRW SATA drive.

If I wanted to boot to CD, I have wait 10 seconds as well. It is not only hard drive.

How do I update BIOS? Where do I download it from

I said a disk in the drive. If I have my SATA DVDRW's connected and have a disk in either of them it hangs at the DMI screen for ages

    Re: Verifying DMI Pool Data

its part of the bios settings, you may have to read the manual or wait for someone who owns the board to step in, hard drive should be 1st in the boot order, and there may be an additional section in the bios to select what hard drive it hsould pick up 1st.
