That'll be your BIOS - what board are you using?
Board: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. M61SME-S2
BIOS: Award Software International, Inc. F4 06/21/2007
This is going to sound crazy - but do you have a CD/DVD in the drive? Also, try totally unplugging the drive for trouble shooting, I've seen some drives cause this issue before.
You can also try resetting the BIOS and re-entering the values, just in case anything has gone awry.
Latest BIOS revision for that board is F9, you can get the BIOS from http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/M...ProductID=2507
is the windows drive set as the 1st boot device ?
its part of the bios settings, you may have to read the manual or wait for someone who owns the board to step in, hard drive should be 1st in the boot order, and there may be an additional section in the bios to select what hard drive it hsould pick up 1st.
