    Hard drive testing software

    I've been searching through the forum and some others but havent found anything. Are there any hard drive integrity testing software available? preferably the free ones.

    Most manufacturers provide diagnostic softare for their drives.

    I found some of the tools in Hiren's boot cd useful, but that was a while ago.

    Ultimate Boot CD is very good. Got all the software you need for all the HDD manufacturers, however, you might want to check out the specific manufacturer for most up to date software.

    Maybe not that unlucky, I bought a 500Gb F1 for a friends PC a month ago and that had to be RMA'd because it was borked..
