How would I filter an external 12v PSU?
Moaning all
I've picked up a cheapo freeview box online, and it's got a nokia-style external psu which has knocked down my adsl line speed by about 2meg!
What do you reckon is the best way to resolve this? Either get a replacement psu from maplin or is there any filter type box that I can plug it into?
Any ideas?

Is your ADSL model right next to the PSU, or some distance away. If it's causing interference on the bellwire, it might be worth disconnecting that. Alternatively (I'm not an expert in the field of EMI by any means), but I believe that this product is supposed to do exactly that. It may also be worth using shielded Cat5/6 to replace your phone line cable if possible?

TBH, the best bet might be as you say though, and get a replacement PSU from somewhere like Maplin :)

Yeah - ended up being lazy and just yanking wires 3+4 (Orange-White and White-Orange wires) from the master socket and the socket connected to the adsl modem to cut down of RF noise.
Works quite nicely that way... annoyed that I didn't think of it earlier.
Much more convenient and about 12 quid cheaper ;)
