I've had good results with some 'Klear Screen' stuff, though i've only ever done it once so I don't know how it compares.

I just use a microfibre cloth usually, unless its coffee stain or something (yes I have had coffee smears on my monitor) where I just dampen it with basically anything thats clean and again a microfibre cloth. Usually does the trick

@ stweffles...reading up on that Klear Screen stuff, mixed reviews. Did it leave a coating on the screen?

Microfibre cloth is the way to go..ok, but any other fluids i should be checking out?

    Cheers again

I've tried loads and eventually paid what I thought was a fortune for Apple's own Monster iClean.

It's a spray bottle you use with a soft cloth.

And it's good, it really is very very good, actually worth the money.

    Re: Lcd

AF Screen Clene spray and and a sheet of kitchen roll - lcd, mobile phone, tv all come up good - also seems to keep dust away a bit longer than other methods.

Do once a week or two, one bottle should last a year.

    Re: Lcd

As others have posted, AF Screen Clene spray is definately the way to go. I'd pick the spray over the tub of wipes, as they seem to dry out very quickly and become useless. I know you can now get smaller packs and individually sealed wipes, but the spray works out the most cost-effective!

    Re: Lcd

I hate touching my lcd, and i always get marks on it, never have a wipe handy, and am always told that you should never put liquids on the screen so am at a loss over what your supposed to do to clean a screen.

    Re: Lcd

Where can I pick up some AF Screen Clene? I've found it but wondered if I can pick it up local and save myself on the delivery costs (which work out more then the item).

    Re: Lcd

50/50 mix of Isopropanol and water. Cheap and probably what most of these retail products are made from anyway.

i second monster iclean gel. only £12.99 for family size at play.com. and one of the only products we allow on our new mac screens.

    Re: Lcd

Whatever brand you choose, make sure it explicitly states that it is safe for use on LCD screens.

I imagine that most screen cleaners are now LCD safe, to reflect their now dominant market share.

But there are some screen cleaners which were originally designed for glass-faced CRT's and may corrode the more fragile LCD....
