Exclamation Inverting Colours/Colors (Desktop / Adobe Reader)

    Hello,

I have to do a lot of research and reading on the computer [e-journals mostly in pdfs], and I'd prefer not to be staring at massive blocks of white. I was wondering whether it would be possible to invert the colour output on a PDF so I could read the text white on black (rather than black text on white pages).

Is this possible if so, how do I go about it?

Otherwise is there a program that can invert all desktop colours [there must be somewhere?]. I'm not talking about inverting colours for printouts etc, just to read on the computer screen.

Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers!

PS. Sorry for posting this in Software and Help but I didn't know which was most relevant and which would be seen the most. Thanks again

This Is something I am hoping to get, but I want the actual PDF colours to invert, to make the background colour white - I presume I need some sort of software filter or something?
If it makes any difference I am using an ATI 3850 Graphics card with Catalyst 8.6

Press ALT+ Left Shift + Print Screen to change to "High Contrast Mode"

Re: Inverting Colours/Colors (Desktop / Adobe Reader)

I think I've finally found the solution here:

Why does it always happen soon after you've posted for help

Basically Powerstrip is a program that can do it for you - so I've just created a new profile to invert all the colours and not only does it look cool but it seems to be helping immediately:
