File sync software

Could anyone please recommend file synchronisation software. I have to visit a number of PCs and plan to hold a folder on each machine with a copy on a USB memory stick so I can work whilst in transit/offsite. I need to keep the PC and memory stick folders synchronised and would like a program rather than copy & paste. OS is XPpro.

Been using it for years. There's a cmdsync version aswell which scripted with a batch file or whatever should fit your needs.

Allway Sync is another free one, and it too can be used from the command line as well as GUI.

Robocopy if you're old school.

I have used Microsoft's SyncToy but found it a little limiting. I've used SyncBack Freeware which is OK but recently I've moved over to Microsoft's RoboCopy which I love. It's really fast and can be scripted and automated by writing a simple batch file. For example, it can be configured to backup new and updated files from a specific folder and then shut down the PC when done.
