Please read http://www.techsupportforum.com/hard...pbeepbeep.html - I'd copy and paste but as I say, I'm using my Wii so sadly can't :/
If anyone here can help it would be fantastic

I'm a little confused - on that forum you said it was okay now. So has the problem returned?
A loose CPU cooler would tend to cause that sort of problem. Sounds like you have it sorted now.
Damn, it's not fixed after all
can't copypaste on wii sorry, but posted in detail here (scroll to bottom, the second-latest (4:31am UK time) post by me and onwards):

Any help would be great, sorry to bother again :/
I think you need to take it to a good shop and get them to re-fit the heatsink/fan to your CPU with new thermal interface material, as suggested on that other forum.
if its just a question of removing the fan and heatsink and putting some paste on I can do that myself, seems a waste of money to pay someone a wad of cash just for that - the only thing is I'm not sure how to remove this damn fan at the moment, like I said on the other thread I can't see any other catch for it, other than the 2 levers which I already lifted up :/ It's a pentium 4 CPU for reference, there's full specs of the system (prebuilt) here, if you check the customer review as well as product information just below hope that helps anyone who can help explain :s

IIRC on P4 you lift the two locking levers and then sort of unhook the whole heatsink/fan combination from the CPU socket.
Yeah, trying to get all 4 at once to unhook is the prob tho, they keep popping back out whenever I move it, and they block it being moved much
It is a bit fiddly yes.
