Ok odd one this, Got a Abit IP35 mobo with loads of hard drives attached to it, the main OS drives are 2 250gb drives stripped.
So I wanted to set up another mirrored set of 250gb drives to stick my music and impotent files on, so not having any free SATA ports I put in a old PCI card I had.
So went into the bios made sure that its set to still boot from the Intel raid volume and rebooted, then set up the new array rebooted to go into windows.
Now here's where the problem lies, it wont boot into windows, just tells me it cant boot from SATA CD Rom?
Now why would setting these drives up on this card and telling the bios to still boot from the Intel raid volume cause the machine not to boot from the Intel volume?
If I then remove the drives from this new card the machine works fine?
