    GTX280 Cream Crackered

Got home this evening looking forward to a session on NFS Undercover but alas I was treated to a corrupted screen in Vista. Tried restarting a few times and after 10 minutes the display corrupted or went blue

Fished out the reinstall DVD and managed to get the system stable under VGA but as soon as I put the nVidia drivers on, corruption again

I am now typing this under the VGA driver at 1600x1200 and no chance of any gaming for a while. No changes except moving my PC downstairs 3 weeks ago and having it fold for F@H

Is the card indeed Donald Ducked or is there another explanation?

Was a BFGtech OC if that makes any difference? Do you think I was over stressing it?

    Re: GTX280 Cream Crackered

shouldnt be, mines the bfg h2oc, 1st one died, 2nd one arrived with full screen corruption !

in other words mine never got really hot due to water cooling, so no explanation

anyway its got a lifetime warranty, so not all is lost, apart from a potential xmas without a video card, now that sucks !

get the rma started asap, they might be able to get one out in time.

    Re: GTX280 Cream Crackered

Have emailed them. Will they do "forward" replacement or will I need to fork out for a cheap as chips card to tide me over?

My RMA turnaround with BFG Tech was a week, a faultly 6800 Ultra --> 7800 GS!

That was last year, doubt the service would have got any worse since!
