    distorted sound

Hello. I am having poor sound quality on the internal speakers on my laptop. The sound keeps breaking up. Is there any way to fix this?

    Re: distorted sound

    what O/S you using?

if linux, then try a different engine such as OSS or Alsa.

windows, hmm, possibly the bass maybe turned up to high.

but it could be an actual hardware issue with the laptop itself. have you looked round on google for other posts that maybe similar for your model of laptop?

Just a thought...but do you have a microphone inbuilt, and did you accidently turn it on, so its trying to playback as it recieves the sound. I did this once, and it went all digstrauted
