    projector hd (ready or not)

    hello all

I have purchased a optoma ep 720 projector, it states in the manual that it is hd ready.
The connections on it are as follows, 1 vga, 1 yellow composite, 1 usb, 1 audio jack and a s video port.Does any one have any ideas how to connect to hdmi. i have a few ideas such as vga /hdmi converters but they appear expensive.
any help would be very useful thanks:

Isn't HDMI digital only? DVI can carry analogue as well as digital depending on the cable type but I don't think hdmi does. Looks like it's PC only for hd

That will not work, HDMI is digital only and cannot carry an analouge signal e.g VGA. Unfortunately there is no way to directly connect the projector via HDMI.

You can output 'HD' through VGA as long as the media doesn't require HDCP compatibility.
