    Microsoft Outlook

    Good Morning,

Is there any way to backup my inbox in microsoft office? I'm looking to format and would like to take my emails across with me.
I know that you can archive your emails, is this a possibility?

    Re: Microsoft Outlook

This is easily done, and no exporting is required.

Right click on the mailbox at the very top of the folder tree and go to properties. Click Advanced, and you will see the folder location. (usually in App Data in the user profile folder).

Backup your .pst. You might want to export any filter rules and accounts as well, makes it easier to set everything up again.

When you re-install, you should be able to just open Outlook as normal the first time so it creates a new empty .pst. Close Outlook then copy the old one over the top and open Outlook again.
