BF 1942 unplayability

been offline awhile trying to get BF 1942 working online again...downloaded patch 1.6.19 wth happened to all the servers? where can i get updated been working on this awhile its kinda goofy
any suggestions would be massively appreciated tyvm

Err, I was under the impressions BF1942 was so old there aren't any servers around for it any more.

It's a classic I'm sure there will be some servers still on line. I've played Return to castle wolfenstein online recently and there's still servers.

It's probably that the server are running a different patch and unless you run the same patch you won't see them.

I'd recommend contacting an admin of one of the servers and seeing if they can help. They know the game inside out after all.

if you are running on vista you will need to right click on your BF shortcut and change some properties before it can work online, if you google it im sure there will be solutions.

Try to use Xfire, it's the only decent game browser left, although GameSpy now gives better server results it still sucks for a lot of stuff.

FWIW there's still at least 400 servers around on 1942.

vista and 42 dont get on well at all
