Its not a bad overclock, i mean not as high as some. I have my E4500 at 3.3ghz for comparison a 50% overclock.

Re: is this a decent overclock ???

You should be able to run that memory at 400mhz minimum, probably a lot faster, i run mine at 480mhz and i know people who run it at 1000+, your may or may not reach these speeds.

Regarding your cpu what voltage are you running it at and what are the load temps in core temp / everest / similar?

Re: is this a decent overclock ???

You should be able to use a different FSB : DRAM ratio to boost your memory, and as the others have said, 5-5-5-15 at PC6400 (400MHz) is what it's rated to do.

Have you used Orthos to stability test yet, and as 'mac124' asked, what are your temperatures like?

Note: My E6600's at 3GHz and I find it plently fast enough.

Re: is this a decent overclock ???

Well if you are happy enough to call 30 mins stable then thats all that really matters, at the end of the day its your pc does it do what you want / need it to without crashing? Personally i'd give it a good thrashing playing your current favourite game for a good hour or two at least if not then run orthos when you go out for a few hours. Personally im from the "it does what i want for as long as i want ergo its stable enough for me" school of thinking, but that is just my opinion.
